Because of Oregon's two year staggered registrations, one could see 76, 77, and 78 expirations on the road during 1976.


1973 Oregon plates expiring in February and April with 76 expirations.


1973 Oregon plates with January 1977 and June 1978 expirations. The 77 sticker would have been issued in 1975 and the 78 sticker would have been issued in 1976.

1965 issued Oregon Historic vehicle plate on the left could be used through 1976 and beyond.

1974/75 issued Oregon Historic vehicle plate on the right could be used through 1976 and beyond.




The yellow on blue public owned vehicle plate was issued from 65 to 73, while the blue on yellow was issued post 73. Both were in use during 1976.



1976 Oregon disabled person license plates expiring in March and May.


Permanent Oregon disabled veteran license plate used during the 70's.



1956-61 issued Oregon amateur radio operator base with December 1976 expiration.


Post 1961 style issued Oregon amateur radio operator plates updated with 76, 77 and 78 expiration stickers that would have been seen on these plates during 1976.




The brown orange on aluminum farm truck plate on the left was first issued in1969. In 1975, the blue on yellow base on the right was issued. Both were in use in 1976.



1976 Oregon vanity plate. The vanity base used on this April 1976 expiring plate was more of a reflective lemon yellow than the golden yellow of the regularly issued plates. The reflective golden yellow of the standard plates appears on the the August 77 expiring vanity plate on the right.
