Welcome to Texas...Home Base of Plateshack.com. Texas stopped issuing plate stickers in 1994, that's the last year you'll see a validation sticker on a passenger plate. Texas tweaks it's baseplate every couple of years. The November 2005 is the latest example, adding a flag to the shuttle graphic, a Texas flag colored map separator and shrinking (slightly) the size of the cowboy. The shuttle base (current) is currently being issued in a 123-ABC format, following a A12-BCD format. Texas re-issues numbers, the state is on an 8 year rolling replate. It's possible to see the Shuttle, Flag Right and a occasional 150th Anniversary base on the roads today.
