The three different validation stickers used for 2005 on Alaska license plates. (The format is similar for all stickers from 2001 to the current 2006 expiration stickers.)
1. On the far left, a 7/8" by 7/8" computer printed sticker with a serial number that matches the plate number. This type is issued when registrations are renewed on the phone.
2. In the center, is a 1" by 1" commercially printed sticker with the background color split horizontally. These are issued to vehicles that are not allowed to be on the road from November 1st through March 31st.
3. On the right is a 1" by 1" commercially printed sticker issued to walk-in renewals and new registrations at the Department of Motor Vehicles office.
