On the left, May 2000 expiry on Manitoba restricted area license plate. Restricted
areas have no highway outlets, and owners pay a lower fee than the regular registration.
There are not too many of these plates around. Numbering began at RA 1001, and
even now has not reached RA 1800
On the right is the Manitoba
Vintage Auto plate used on antique or historical vehicles, currently.
These were started in 1967. In all those years, they have not hit the 999 mark.

Approximately 1,500
Taxi plates were issued in Manitoba for 2000, with limousine plates being
a smaller number still.
Taxi plates like the one shown on the left are used on limos when the LM sticker
is placed in the upper left hand corner.
Only about 5,000 dealer plates were issued.
As for repair plates used in transporting vehicles that are to be repaired,
only about 2,000 of those were issued.
