"Saw your recent posting of the latest Y2K additions....that Montana "US SEN 2" plate is not a real Montana "type"....it is only Mel Bowen's vanity plate...he is ALPCA #1176 and NILPS-L-6 (life member)....he applied for it as a joke and was so suprised that Deer Lodge issued it, that he decided to keep it active and enjoy any "notoriety" that came along......wonder if he got out of any tickets with it?  Hmmm...#17," says Roy Carson of Boulder City, Nevada on 8/8/99
